LOVE? SAID THE COMMANDER
NEW STUFF & THINGS
BIG NEWS! We recently recorded a live Key Session at WXPN in Philadelphia, and you can watch and read about the session here. We're still buzzing from this bucket list experience - hope you enjoy it!
Our latest EP, 'Bones,' is now available! We recorded the 4 stripped down songs LIVE in ONE DAY with ONE MIC at the historic Wayne County Courthouse in Honesdale, PA. You can listen to 'Bones' on Bandcamp and wherever you stream your music.
Our 3rd EP, 'Pick Me Up,' is available on all things streaming and Bandcamp. We recorded, mixed, and mastered these 5 tracks, so this is a very special release for us. We hope you enjoy it and let us know what you think! In the words of one review, "This release is L?STC’s most confident yet, and it is my favorite thing they’ve done."
Our first two EPs, "A Million Miles Away" and "A Place For Our Heads," are also available wherever you stream your music and Bandcamp.
Here's a great writeup of 'Misery,' a song about dancing, from "A Place For Our Heads."
We were included in WXPN's Philly 100 for 2019! Check out the full article here.
Love? said the Commander is a duo from the “Philajersey” area that embraces "maximal minimalism" in order to create slow burning indie rock that will make you feel stuff. Kate Hall (vocals, guitar, violin) met Chris Bishop (guitar and bass) in the winter of 2018 via a Craigslist ad. In their short time as a band, they've released 4 EPs, and their latest release, 'Bones,' was recorded live in one day with one microphone at the Wayne County Court House in Honesdale, PA. It was also produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kate and Chris. In the end, the DIY duo hopes to prove that Pennsylvania and New Jersey can actually come together and create something beautiful.
